Rape Crisis supports #slutwalk

On Saturday 20th of August, Rape Crisis volunteers joined in the SlutWalk. Check out these photos below, and have a listen to our Training and Development Coordinator Evelynne Moses in this interview

Feedback from Shireen Scholtz:

Regarding the slut walk we had on Saturday if I could say it on one word it was “Wow” I had such a great time, mixing with all sort of people and races. Everyone came together with one goal, to bring across a message to all (No means No ) The different kinds of dress codes and excitement of it all was awesome.

It is my first time I have been involved in such an event and personally it was great and I would do it again and again. Everything that was done for the day went down as planned and everybody was so peaceful.

Lets do something like this again and soon!!

About rapecrisisblog

We have a vision of a South Africa in which rape survivors suffer no secondary trauma, and are supported throughout their interaction with the Criminal Justice System (CJS). Our mission is to promote an end to violence against women, specifically rape, and to assist women to achieve their right to live free from violence. Rape Crisis Cape Town seeks to achieve its mission through counselling and training of women, thereby reducing the trauma experienced by rape survivors, and encouraging reporting of rape and the conviction of rapists.
