Our AGM and 35th Anniversary

This year Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust celebrated it’s 35th Anniversary. To celebrate the occasion we combined the anniversary with our Annual General Meeting.

The event took place on 17 August 2011, at the Strand Tower Hotel in Cape Town. We were extremely happy to see so many familiar faces, previous volunteers, the founder of RCCTT, Anny Mayne, and all our friends.

Founder, Anne Mayne

Rape Crisis would like to thank the following people for their contribution to the evening:

Strand Tower Hotel for assisting us all day long, Distell for all the wine, Wades Cakes for our very special 35th birthday cupcakes, photographer Christine Watters for her lovely pictures and ongoing dedication to RCCTT, Associated Magazines for filling our goodie bags, and every single staff member and volunteer who contributed so much to the success of the evening.

Pia Kalus, Jen Thorpe, Kath Dey and Helette Gelderblom

About rapecrisisblog

We have a vision of a South Africa in which rape survivors suffer no secondary trauma, and are supported throughout their interaction with the Criminal Justice System (CJS). Our mission is to promote an end to violence against women, specifically rape, and to assist women to achieve their right to live free from violence. Rape Crisis Cape Town seeks to achieve its mission through counselling and training of women, thereby reducing the trauma experienced by rape survivors, and encouraging reporting of rape and the conviction of rapists.
